C360 Club in association with The Arshinagar Project presents "Singing Body, Dancing Voice".
This is an introduction to physical theatre, open to actors, dancers, movement artists and enthusiasts at all levels. We will work on breath awareness, stillness, rhythm, awareness of rasaas,gesture, movement, voice and text, and most importantly, on unlocking the imagination and finding limitless possibilities within. We will work with structured exercises as well as improvisation; through real life stories, poetry and songs

About the Facilitator: Arka Mukhopadhyay won the TFA Award for Creative Writing for his poetry in 2008 and was short-listed for the Rayaprol prize in 2010. His work has appeared in Pyrta, Drunken Boat, The Battered Suitcase, Jaggery and many other publications. His work in theatre/ performance has won fellowships from the Ministry of Culture and the Inlaks Foundation. His most recent solo piece, “If It Be Now – Fragments and Impressions of Hamlet”, has been performed all over India and will be performed in Singapore at the end of June
