To insert a link, use the <a> tag with the href attribute to indicate the address of the target page. Example: <a href="http://www.google.com"> . You can make a link to another page in your website simply by writing the file name: <a href="page2.html"> . Links can also be used to jump to other places on the same page

To add a hyperlink in an HTML page, use the <a> and </a> tags, which are the tags used to define the links. The <a> tag indicates where the hyperlink starts and the </a> tag indicates where it ends. Whatever text gets added inside these tags, will work as a hyperlink. Add the URL for the link in the <a href=” ”>.

The tags used to produce links are the <a> and </a>.

The <a> tells where the link should start and the </a> indicates where the link ends.

Everything between these two will work as a link.

The target of the link is added to the <a> tag using
the href="http://www.whateverpage.com" setting.

The example below shows how to make the word here work as a link to yahoo.

Click <a href="http://www.yahoo.com">here</a> to go to yahoo.

You simply:

Specify the target in the <a href=" ">.

Then add the text that should work as a link.

Finally add an </a> tag to indicate where the link ends.

HTML links are hyperlinks.

The href attribute specifies the destination address (http://www.w3schools.com/html/)

The link text is the visible part. A link is specified using HTML tag <a>. This tag is called anchor tag and anything between the opening <a> tag and the closing </a> tag becomes part of the link
